"Yes. Though, typically when I socialize most days, it's for work-related purposes. Reading and researching gives me moments to myself..."
Moments that she should use to call her friends, but they had their lives too. She might be better at normal interactions, but she couldn't bring herself to interrupt anyone if they were busy.
Patchouli nodded quietly. "It's frustrating to not get a little time to yourself, right?" She was really glad that that was not an issue.
Except when she was occasionally interrupted. That was never fun. Especially since it was someone who tried to steal her books a lot. At least she was incredibly unsubtle, which made things a lot easier on her.
Patchouli barely knew this woman but she smiled anyway. "That's great! It's important to do something you enjoy." For example, she holed up in a library and researched most of the time. She was getting better about going outside! If everyone was as likable as Naoto seemed, she'd probably come out more often.
Naoto nodded in agreement, but then heard the clearing of a throat... or something akin to one. Turning her head, it looked like the mascot was waiting for them - which he wouldn't have to be doing if he didn't put them in this game. She shook her head and turned back to Patchouli.
"I suppose we should start asking questions in order to get through this game."
"They wouldn't be getting so impatient if they hadn't dragged us into this," she said dryly.
"However, my guess for you will be... that the genre of fiction you are most interested in is detective fiction. Maybe also science fiction, but you spend time trying to discern how much sense any of the technology presented would be feasible."
Well, at least they got somewhere with the game instead of just being constantly sidetracked.
"Good point," Patchouli noted with a nod. "We could just sit here and wait until they get mad enough at us to chase us out if you want."
Then again, she didn't think Naoto was that interested in that. "Okay, okay, fine, maybe not. I think you get to guess something about me next, based on whatever category they give us?"
Naoto wouldn't mind killing time until they were asked to leave.
But they might not do that as well... There were other games set up nearby and she doubted everyone in them would be non-compliant players. "Yes. However, you get to select a category once it shows up on your display."

They might as well move onto the next topic outside of the game.
