I just hope we don't end up dealing with some more scary stuff. I can't even handle that when it's a movie.

Hm... if we are to encounter anything like that, it's likely to be further in. Although, that would make one reconsider exploring any deeper.

That's good to hear. Though I hope they don't have any of those monsters again or anything like that, regardless.

Indeed. They always hamper new discoveries here...

They're so creepy, too. [shudder] At least we've got a lot of capable people around.

They're not always so bad.

Well, let's hope nothing just in case. I have to wonder, though, about these ruins. Why did they stop living here?

It could have something to do with the battle depicted on that relief near the entrance... or the Calamity.

[isntitsad]

That's true. Everything does seem to come back to the Calamity in the end, even with what little we know about it.

[pishirogane]

It does. Still, considering the end result being the planet as it is today, it's not a surprise. I doubt it would be recalled as a 'Calamity' either were the side effects less.

It's still a little worrisome that taking people from other dimensions seems to be the only way the planet could fix itself after so long.

It does seem peculiar. Perhaps any native Moonblessed individuals were killed so the planet couldn't recover.

[isntitsad]

Or maybe everybody used to be Moonblessed and lost that power. Maybe that's why their culture is so open and encouraging about, well, you know.

Hm... could be possible. Seems strange they would somehow manage to forget that detail.

[isntitsad]

That's true. But when you think about it, there's a lot we don't know about the ancient world even at home.

[pishirogane]

To be fair, that would depend on each world...

[isntitsad]

That's true. But the things we take for common knowledge aren't all right. Some of them might have been disproved a few decades ago, but the culture hasn't caught up, you know? That might be true in a lot of different worlds, when you think about it...

Possibly. Anyway, until we continue exploring, it's only speculation. Let's continue forward.
