But... that ain't all of it. Deep down she's a passionate nerd whose eyes get big as saucers when she sees prismal mech suits before treks into the desert, and makes friends with tiny crystal foxes when she thinks nobody's looking. Ghosts freak her out, but she's one of the most reliable people you'll ever come to know and ain't afraid to sock ya one when a Shadow makes your head spin in the middle of a battle.

I think a book from somebody like you is what a lotta people need, both girls and boys.

... You know you can omit the Shadow information. It might be best to leave that out, or find another way to talk about it.

I think there are loads of people out there waiting for that little push from someone like you to inspire them to be greater than others say they are and make 'em think they are.

Well, they can be helpful, but they're not good for projects that require fine detail.

... It's strange, but no different from touching with my fingers. However, I can... slightly 'taste' with them too.

... Think of it like when you taste something upon smelling it. It's comparable to that.

[So, while not the same as her mouth, it was still pretty strong.]

[Thinking on it now, he never disliked how she tasted, so maybe... maybe he was okay. Still, the whole idea of being able to taste through suckers on your arms was pretty wild.]

Hmmm. Then I'm glad I don't sweat as much as I used to, h-heheh...

[He gave the menu a twirl.]

Oh, and this all looks pretty good. Can't choose, though. Ya might need ta be the tiebreaker.

[She really was too kind... but she was blunt- if it bothered her, she'd tell him, right? God, he hoped.]

U-uhm... I dunno, I figure since it's cold as hell out, maybe we stick to tradition and maybe ask if they can make zenzai, too!

[Because what better to warm you up? Ah, but maybe it'd be too sweet for her... but he was in a comfort food kinda mood.]

A more traditional meal does sound appealing.

Hmm... Zenzai. Yes, we could ask. And if they don't have it exactly, they might have an equivalent; however, I may just split with you if that's alright.

[He was right assuming it might be on the 'too sweet' for her scale.]

[He went for the tablet and found the app for it. Huh, the prismals just... try to be as convenient as possible, huh? But he grinned a bit.]

But Naoto... Naoto, that means we'd have to share mochi. That's an indirect kiss!

[Nodding, she watches him order with a smile.]

Would you prefer I kiss you directly? I think I can do that while we're waiting...

[Let's see... this, that, aaaand... this? Yeah. Maybe some light treats, too. It was the holidays! Nothing too sweet, since he probably should ease up on sweets anyway. With a little notif, the order was acknowledged. He gave the tablet a little nudge onto the table, where it would lay forgotten.]

Oooh... that sounds like a better idea.

[He reached out and tucked her hair back, offering a lopsided smile. Maybe he did see her every day now, living together and working to figure out what the fuck was happening with this planet, but that didn't mean he couldn't just... look at her. Could anyone blame him?

Then again, how long had he spent avoiding looking at her all through high school, dumbass that he was?]

[Leaning to his hand, she brought her eyes to focus on his face before her own hands reached up to caress his cheeks and trace his jawline. He was staring at her so intensely, but that was fine. She's gotten better use to it.]

[Just like she's gotten easier with kissing him in privacy.]

[So much easier. To think he was once so terrified of being within arm's reach of her to boot. Now he all but melted against the touch, doing nothing to mask the small shiver up his back.]

...Lights...?

[It was such a weird habit, but he was thankful that his unfocused command was acknowledged, the cable car helpfully darkening a number of interior lights. They lived in garish 1980's world, but that didn't mean he had to be alright with the brights.

Kanji sank into that kiss with a soft sigh, idly noticing that the tip of her nose was as cold as his. Maybe they'd spent a little too long out in the woods. Hell with it... nobody caught a cold when you had things like moonlacing.]

[She was glad to have the lights dim; there was only so much of the 1980s colors she could take daily. If this allowed them some relief, she welcomed it.]

[Of course, those were second thoughts. Her first thought had to be on his lips, their kissing, and how their noses touched - cold, but warming. She hummed against his mouth and shifted more into his lap.]

[He opened to her, arms winding around her frame and pulling her atop as she moved into his lap. There was always that dark, secret little thrill about being with her like this, even for something as 'mild' as kissing her. It was like they hadn't had any privacy for hours...

It always made his glasses steam, but damn it if he even cared, sizzling away as he worked the warm the both of them.

She didn't need this right here... nimble fingers loosened her scarf and let it slither to the bench, exposing the nape of her neck to that first touch. But was it Chroma, or his own innate fire magic flowing through his blood that always left that tingling warmth in his fingers' wake?]
