The arrival was kind of... overwhelming, plus the festivities started so quickly... she had a feeling that she'd be making a rather miserable first impression if she so instantly tried to sneak off.
"Are you similar, when you can? I'm glad most of what I do is research so I can get away from others easily." Maybe Naoto would be decent company in the long term, though.
